Share the Good News

In Isaiah 55, God so clearly laid out his intentions for His people (that’s us too!) when He said:

“Listen to me, listen well: Eat only the best,
fill yourself with only the finest.
Pay attention, come close now,
listen carefully to my life-giving, life-nourishing words.
I’m making a lasting covenant commitment with you,
the same that I made with David: sure, solid, enduring love.”
-v.2-4 from The Message translation

As we enter this preparation time for Thanksgiving week here in the U.S., our hearts and minds are leaning into this sweet invitation open to all people from all nations and especially in the communities where we serve. We are abundantly blessed to know that we have friends we call family at The 410 Bridge – that’s you! What a time to be grateful as we look back over this year quickly coming to a close, and see God’s faithfulness to provide time and time again – whether it be through your donations, your selfless service on the ground, or your much appreciated prayers and encouragement. We hope you know that we’re on this journey together – with you and for you. And our highest praise belongs to God, so let’s enjoy His presence this season and believe Him for greater things yet to come.

In these next few weeks throughout December, we’ll be sharing stories of celebration happening across Kenya, Haiti, Uganda and the U.S. – we’re excited for you to celebrate with us! And, in this season of giving, we’ll also have a couple of ways you can show your love…

First, we’ll have an opportunity for you to get involved in Sharing the Good News in its truest sense – purchasing a Bible in the native language of Swahili or Creole – to be placed into the hands of a household without access to the best news ever – the Gospel. Stay tuned on the details coming very soon at 410bridge.org/Christmas.

Second, there is a new trend that we believe could help us deepen our impact together – Giving Tuesday – taking place on December 1. Look for an invitation to participate with The 410 Bridge coming your way soon!

In all of this we know, Jesus Christ is our sweetest invitation. For He is The Invitation, The Giver, AND The Gift.

What more could we ask for than an opportunity to simply give it all back to Him with a cheerful heart?

He is GOOD. We are GLAD. Happy Thanksgiving, friends!
