KCPE Starts Tomorrow!

Betty, Monica A and Cynthia with Daraja director, Christi Baker. All 3 of these girls will be sitting for the KCP exam tomorrow!

Tomorrow starts the national 8th grade exam in Kenya. In many ways, this 3-day exam is like the SAT of Kenya, except that it is administered to 8th graders and the results determine the level of high school (not college) that a student qualifies for. Students in Kenya spend the majority of their 8th grade year preparing for this exam and the pressure to perform well is significant.

This year, in addition to the many BrightPoint sponsored children, we have 14 Daraja Alumni sitting for the exam this year (Cynthia 2009, Betty 2009-2010, Monica A 2009, Spencer 2008, Patricia 2008, Kevin 2009, Gladys Wanjiru 2007-8, Josephine Muthoni 2008, Julius 2010, Francis Njoroge 2008, Monica N 2009, FaithTess 2007, Julius 2007, and Faith Wangare 2010). Please join us in praying wisdom and concentration for these and all of our 410 Bridge 8th Graders!
