Ronaldo Solís: A Testimony of Hope

A Life of Resilience

Ronaldo Solís Gómez, a 47-year-old man from El Triunfo, Guatemala, has faced many challenges in life that have tested his resilience and strength. From economic hardship to the heartbreaking loss of a child, Ronaldo’s journey has been one of overcoming adversity with unwavering determination.

A New Path Through Education

Born and raised in the countryside, Ronaldo dedicated his life to cultivating coffee, a livelihood that sustained his family for many years. However, when circumstances threatened his ability to provide, he found hope in an unexpected place—the Foundation for Farming training through The 410 Bridge.

Through the 410 Bridge Foundation for Farming program, Ronaldo learned how to diversify his crops by growing tomatoes, vegetables, and raising fish and chickens. This new knowledge provided his family with a steady food supply and an additional source of income, which helped stabilize their financial situation.

Family Support and Blessings

Ronaldo’s journey has not been one he has walked alone. His wife, a constant pillar of support, has stood by him through the ups and downs. Together, they have raised their children and are now blessed with the love and joy of two granddaughters.

Beyond the practical skills he gained, the spiritual training Ronaldo received during the course had a profound impact on him. He learned that, “without God, nothing prospers,” and this faith has strengthened his resolve to keep moving forward, no matter the challenges.

A Dream of Self-Sufficiency

Today, Ronaldo’s dream is simple yet powerful: to achieve self-sufficiency by growing what his family needs and generating income from their hard work. His story is a testament to the truth that those who sow with faith will reap blessings, even when the road ahead seems uncertain.

Ronaldo’s life is a beautiful reminder of the power of hope, perseverance, and faith in overcoming every obstacle. His journey reflects the transformation that can happen when communities come together to empower one another, and we are proud to share his story with you.

Please keep Ronaldo and his family in your prayers!
