Empowering Entrepreneurs: BST Training in Kahuria Community

Exciting progress is underway in Kahuria Community! Recently, 43 trainees graduated from a four-week Business Skills Training (BST) program, equipping them with the tools they need to succeed in entrepreneurship. This latest graduating class marks the seventh BST training session in Kahuria, bringing the total number of trained households to over 350 out of 459—a remarkable achievement for this vibrant community.

Cultivating Potential

Nestled in a region with an ideal climate for farming, Kahuria is known for producing delicious potatoes, snow peas, green peas, and cabbages. Leveraging this agricultural strength, the BST training focused on helping participants adopt an agribusiness mindset. At the same time, it explored exciting business opportunities beyond farming, broadening horizons for trainees eager to diversify their income sources.

Beyond Training: Ongoing Support

Graduating from the BST program is just the beginning. Over the next year, we will provide follow-up sessions and mentorship to help our trainees put their newfound skills into action. This ongoing support is crucial for turning ideas into thriving businesses, as it offers encouragement, guidance, and practical advice throughout their entrepreneurial journey.

Adding Value for the Future

Looking ahead, we’re planning to offer specialized training sessions that will teach community members how to add value to their agricultural produce. From processing to packaging, these skills will enable farmers to increase their earning potential while creating more opportunities for local economic growth.

Building a Brighter Future

The BST program is transforming lives in Kahuria by equipping families with the knowledge and confidence they need to succeed. As more households gain entrepreneurial skills, the ripple effect of this training will be felt across the entire community.

Please keep these BST graduates in your prayers!
