Rancho Viejo Community Update: Praying Through the Pandemic

During this time in history, we are experiencing opportunities to innovate how we serve and love one another. Thanks to the generosity of our partners and the dedication of Rancho Viejo’s Leadership Council, and the 410 Bridge staff, good work is continually being done throughout the Rancho Viejo community.

The 410 Bridge has been dedicated to educating the Rancho Viejo community with accurate information about the spread of COVID-19. In addition, over 80 at-risk families in Rancho Viejo have received food kits that have helped to relieve some the food insecurity caused by the pandemic. Food kits were also distributed to the families with children in the Special Needs Sponsorship program. The Leadership Councils and our 410 Bridge staff in Guatemala have been innovative in finding ways to navigate the logistical challenges of food distribution.

Thankfully, the community has not experienced any COVID-19 cases. But, each 410 community is in need of prayer throughout the pandemic. Please continue to pray for Rancho Viejo in these specific ways:

  • For the spiritual, emotional, and physical health of the community
  • For the Leadership Council and churches as they guide their communities through this time
  • For the families with special needs children and in vulnerable situations
  • For the coffee fields to grow and flourish so that there might be good yields at the end of the year
