Tuesday Trip Highlights! June 11

This week, we have FOUR teams ont he ground – 2 in Kenya and 2 in Haiti.

A Memphis-area Chick-fila is taking a team to Karogoto, Kenya and GlobalX from NorthPoint Church (Alpharetta, GA) will be in Ngaamba, Kenya. Wiregrass church will be in Fond Baptiste, Haiti and there will be an open team in Maliarette, Haiti. The Wiregrass team will be led by one of our rockstar leaders, Khari Manuel and the open team will be facilitated by his wife Jennifer (also a rockstar!) We LOVE the Manuels!

The open team has participants from Atlanta, Charlotte NC, Mint Hill NC, Oklahoma City OK, Greenville SC, Bryan TX and Alexandria VA! They will be working on community gardens and planting trees.

Teacher Strike in Kenya 

The last term of the year in Kenya is usually met with mixed reactions. Every high school student is excited and counting down to their final examination of the year that will majorly determine whether they progress to next class or not. Those in 12th grade are usually preparing to sit for their final high school exams.

However, many students are currently at crossroads because the teachers are on a strike!
