Building a Culture of Savings and Hope
In the rural communities of Guatemala, many families live day by day without the tools to plan for the future. Saving is not common—not because people are unwilling, but because they have never been taught how. Dreams of starting a business, improving a home, or investing in a child’s education often remain out of reach. Children, youth, adults, and elders alike face the reality of limited financial stability and few opportunities to imagine a different path forward.
Training Local Leaders, Creating Lasting Change
In response to this need, 410 Bridge, in partnership with HOPE International, is implementing a transformative initiative: training new savings group facilitators in five key communities and strengthening those already serving.

Through this training, local leaders gain the skills to guide neighbors in forming savings groups—spaces where people not only build financial resources but also cultivate trust, shared values, and community.
Impact Beyond Money
The results are profound. Families that once had no tools for managing money are now reaching financial goals, children are learning to save from an early age, and older adults are sharing wisdom and inspiring younger generations.

But the transformation goes beyond finances. Communities are experiencing restored relationships, renewed faith, and a shared sense of purpose. Savings groups have become seeds of hope, where stories are shared, prayers are lifted, and stronger communities are built.
A Ripple Effect of Empowerment
More than 400 people will be directly impacted through this initiative. Each trained facilitator represents a new opportunity for families to discover that true development begins with restored relationships, rediscovered dignity, and empowered local leadership.

Through local leadership and savings groups, families in Guatemala are not just managing money—they are rediscovering their ability to grow, serve, and dream together.
