Meet Mercy Gachengechi!

I would like to introduce you to Mercy Gachengechi.  Mercy started serving with us in 2008 as a team leader.  We had the pleasure of getting to know Mercy and hearing dozens of stories from team members that raved about their incredible team leader.  It did not take long for us to realize that Mercy had a personality and skill set that would add a lot of value to our Kenya full time staff team.  So, Mercy was hired to work in our trip logistics department, helping to arrange travel logistics for teams traveling to Kenya.  2009 has been an eventful year for Mercy. She got married and was also recently promoted to oversee our Kenya trip programing.  We are blessed to serve with Mercy, and look forward to how God will continue to use her to build His kingdom.

Why Our New Kiu Case Study Matters

Seeing real, long-term transformation is the heart of why we do community development. It’s one thing to launch programs or build infrastructure, but it’s entirely another to watch a community continue to grow and thrive on its own after we step back.

That’s why we now have a new Kiu case study — to show what sustainable, community-led development looks like when it really works.
