Meet David Muchai Ngunyi!

David Muchai (Moo – ‘chy) is The 410 Bridge‘s newest Community Development Manager.  He was hired to fill the vacancy left when Andrew was promoted to Country Director.

I had the opportunity to spend some time with him in August and I was very impressed with his ability to engage the communities and earn the trust of the community leadership.

One of Muchai’s first projects was to contract with the people of Kwambekenya to secure 13,000 hand-made leather X’s for the Catalyst Conference in October.  In the end, Muchai was able to have over 18,000 “X’s” made within a matter of weeks.  All proceeds from the sale of the “X’s” will be used to support orphans in Kenya.

Good job, David!
