A Long-Awaited Day
On October 7th, members of the Mugaa community gathered at the borehole site to witness something they had dreamed about for years—the groundbreaking ceremony for their new water project.
After months of waiting and navigating a lengthy certification process, the community finally received approval to begin drilling. What followed was a day filled with joy, music, and heartfelt gratitude.
Community members celebrated by dancing and singing to the rhythm of drums, praising God for His faithfulness. Even when heavy rain poured down that afternoon, their excitement never wavered.
The Start of Something Transformational
According to the geological survey, water lies 280 meters below the ground. Drilling is expected to reach the water bed within three days, marking the first major milestone of the project. Once drilling is complete, the next steps—casing installation, test pumping, and borehole equipping with solar power—will follow.
The project also includes constructing and equipping local water kiosks, which are anticipated to be completed by January. These kiosks will ensure that clean, accessible water reaches every corner of the Mugaa community.

A Community’s Faith Rewarded
“Having a borehole in Mugaa was a dream; some believed it would take a miracle for it to happen. But we thank God that our dreams are now a reality,” said Nicholas, the Mugaa LC Chairman.
For years, the Mugaa community has faced the challenge of accessing safe, reliable water. This project marks more than just the drilling of a borehole—it represents hope, perseverance, and faith in action.

As the first drops of water draw closer, Mugaa celebrates not only the promise of physical refreshment but also the spiritual renewal that comes when a community works together, trusts God, and sees His faithfulness come to life.
