Bringing Urgent Relief to Nicaragua’s Flooded Communities

In the remote villages along the rivers of Nicaragua, life is changing—and not for the better.

Recent floods have devastated entire communities, displacing families, destroying food supplies, and washing away crops that were meant to sustain them for months to come.

The villages of Makantaka, Makantakita, Company Crick, Dakban, Guadalupe, Betania, Angloamerica, La Esperanza, and others have been hit especially hard. Many families in each village are now facing an uncertain future.

This isn’t the first time we’ve seen flooding in this region—but those on the ground are calling this situation uniquely devastating.

Homes are unlivable. Crops are gone. Hunger is growing.

We’ve created a plan to respond swiftly and effectively, focusing on the most urgent needs:

  • Food staples like beans, rice, and pasta to sustain families in the short-term
  • Corn and wheat seeds to help communities replant and recover their livelihoods
  • Plastic sheeting to cover damaged homes and provide temporary shelter
  • Supplies and materials to repair a critical basecamp dock, making future relief efforts possible

This initial response will reach 200 families—about 30% of those in greatest need. With your help, we can go even further.

Your support brings more than physical aid. It brings hope, dignity, and the reminder that even in disaster, they are not forgotten.

Please join us in praying for the families affected by these floods—and if you’re able, give generously to help bring urgent relief.
