A Prayer for Haiti

We are deeply saddened by the devastation that has hit Haiti and although our work is not in Haiti, our hearts are broken for the people of Haiti. We just want to take this time to ask our friends to join us in prayer…

Dear Heavenly Father,

We want to lift up the people of Haiti to you, Lord and we pray that you would bring help and healing physically, emotionally and spiritually to Haiti. We pray that the people of Haiti would look to you for their provision and care. We pray that you would bring a peace and calm to the hearts of everyone involved in this disaster. While we may not understand why things like this happen, we know that you are in control and that you have a purpose for what is happening in Haiti right now. We know that you are good and that you are there when we need you. We pray that the people of Haiti would know this and find peace in this and that they would not blame you, but that they would praise you. We pray that you would raise up the church to bring the necessary relief to this disaster. We pray that we, as Christians can make more of an impact on Haiti than the earthquake itself did and that this horrible situation would shed light on your goodness and glory.

Thank you, Lord, for your faithfulness and that you will never ever leave us.

Amen

Coming to school on an empty stomach made it difficult to focus, learn, and fully engage in their education.
