In the heart of Vista Hermosa, surrounded by mountains and hope, there is a community that refuses to give up. The community of Altamira has faced real challenges—most notably, a school kitchen that was deteriorated and lacked the proper conditions to prepare meals for children. It was a space that didn’t reflect the care these children deserve. But today, something powerful has begun to change.
More Than a Renovation—A Restoration of Dignity
Today, we’re not just celebrating a renovated kitchen. We’re celebrating a transformation built with love, effort, and unity. This community dreamed of a dignified space for their children, and through prayer, hard work, and collaboration, that dream became a reality.

For years, the school kitchen operated under difficult conditions. The floor was rough and hard to clean, the walls were worn and crumbling, lighting was poor, and there was no proper area for washing utensils. This affected the quality and hygiene of meals—and it made daily tasks harder for the mothers who lovingly organized themselves to take turns preparing food for the children.
A Community Effort Rooted in Compassion
Thanks to the support of 410 Bridge child sponsors, 410 Bridge church partners, the commitment of the Community Leadership Council, and the collaboration of local parents and churches, the Altamira school kitchen has been completely transformed.

Children now receive their meals in a clean, safe, and functional environment. A ceramic floor was installed for easy maintenance, a proper washing area was built, the electrical system was improved, and the entire layout of the kitchen was redesigned to make daily tasks more efficient and less burdensome.
Love in Action
This was never just a construction project. It was an act of love—for the children, for their health, and for their education. It was a response to a deeply felt need and a vivid example of what can happen when a community comes together with faith and purpose.

Because in Altamira, it’s not just bodies being nourished. Dreams are being nourished too.
