Be a Choir Intern
The main focus of the Daraja Choir Internship is to serve, and through that experience, you will have an amazing opportunity to deepen your relationship with Jesus. You will serve Kenyan leaders, church leaders, host homes, and, in particular, 24 amazing Kenyan Children. The Daraja Intern team will consist of a small group of 4-5 college students who will travel with the choir for one or both of their tours. You will do everything with the children from helping with schoolwork and play time to concert preparation and acting as a chaperone in host homes.
Your tour will start with cultural preparation and team building, after which you will travel to Kenya to meet the Daraja kids. There, your eyes will be opened to extreme poverty and things you could never imagine. But more importantly, you will see Jesus in an amazing way that will change your life. The lessons you will learn in this time will change the way you look at the world and your life forever. You will come back to the United States as a huge family.
As you travel with the choir, you will see God worshipped and lifted high in ways you’ve never seen before. You will witness, and be a part of, community-wide healing, racial and denominational reconciliation, and spiritual awakening in the American church. You will see children blossom before your very eyes. You will see their world perspective grow and their self-confidence explode. As an intern, you will see God move in ways that you have never seen before. You will look at the world in a new way, worship like you’ve never worshipped before, serve and be served in return, but mostly, you will experience Jesus in a new and exciting way. Be ready for an experience that will change your life.
